Witchcraft, according to the Dark and Sinister tradition, is the use by an individual, individuals or a group of acausal energy, either directly or through symbolism, forms, rituals, words and chants (or similar manifestations or presence of causal structures), and this use often involves one or more specific temporal goals.

The Adepts understand acausal energy as the force/energy that exists in the acausal aspect of the Cosmos, whose acausal energy and aspect cannot be described using conventional - causal - representations involving three spatial dimensions and one (causal) time dimension or using words, forms, constructs, symbolism (and so on) of this causal four-dimensional space-time. Some of this acausal energy has been understood by the Adepts to be living beings that live in the non-spatial and non-temporal acausal dimensions of the Cosmos; Demons are traditionally considered a type of these acausal beings (and we will return to the nature of Demons later, although you can already find much in "The Satanic Path").

How and why these acausal energies are used is the essence of the Initiate's training. This "how" is learned through direct, practical personal experience, both of ceremonial ritual and hermetic ritual. In the early stages of the Left-Hand Path, the "why" often refers to the individual's personal desires/goals; with Adeptship and beyond this changes, with cosmic magick as the focus: that is, the "why" comes from the Sinister Dialectic and a knowledge and experience of one's own Satanic experience as part of a greater plan. In essence, the Satanist abandons the goals of personal change and moves towards goals of social change.

The true essence of Dark Witchcraft is not found in a temporal, causal definition of what constitutes “evil” and the emulation of this limited, causal, and esoterically incorrect definition by any individual. The true essence of Dark Witchcraft is found in the conscious use by an individual, individuals, or group of acausal energies with the intent to cause great, suprapersonal, causal changes in causal time. That is, the foundation of authentic Dark Witchcraft is Cosmic Magic: the changing of causal forms/presences and/or the creation of new causal forms/structures/presences.

It is important to understand that the means of authentic Dark Witchcraft are many and varied: they are not limited to, and cannot be reduced to, esoteric practices as they are conventionally understood, such as ritual or ceremonial or hermetic magic. Any form, construct, Craft or anything else through which and by which acausal energies can be accessed, directed and tended - by those skilled in accessing, directing and presiding over these energies - is or can be a medium of Dark Witchcraft: a manifestation of witchcraft itself. "Black Souls" focuses on Black Magic rituals, particularly Hermetic magic, where sex becomes the act of witchcraft by which to arouse and access the energies of the acausal. Sex becomes an act of Dark Witchcraft if it truly presents certain sinister energies in certain ways, and thereby affects individuals in ways consistent with the Sinister Dialectic, such as changing individuals towards the Sinister or inducing them to evolve, or to initiate a presence of acausal, dark energies, or to move towards heresy, or to present Chaos in any way, etc.

The essential goal of Dark Witchcraft is twofold. It is to continue the personal development of the individual thereby undertaking works of Dark Witchcraft and assisting the Dark: assisting the acausal energies so that causal change occurs. In practical terms, this amounts to changing things such as that causal construct called "society", by influencing or changing its ethics and individuals. One of the darkest forms of Dark Witchcraft is to preside over the Dark Gods, opening a nexion or nexions to the acausal dimensions and thus allowing the acausal living beings who are the Dark Gods to manifest in our causal world. Such a manifestation would significantly change existing causal forms, such as "society".
